DISTURBED: More New Interview Footage Posted Online
June 19, 2008Headbanger's Blog has posted the second of three days of interview footage with Chicago heavy rockers DISTURBED. Today, the band discusses the dark musical and lyrical paths it chose to follow for its new album, "Indestructible", how it keepa its songwriting fresh, why it self-produced the record, strange things that happened in the studio and what it learned playing for U.S. troops in Kuwait. "Indestructible" sold 253,000 copies in the United States during its first week of release to debut at position No. 1 on The Billboard 200 chart.
The band's previous two albums, 2005's double-platinum "Ten Thousand Fists" (first-week sales: 238,000) and 2002's platinum "Believe" (first-week sales: 284,000),both also debuted at No. 1.
DISTURBED's best-selling release to date is its 2000 debut, "The Sickness", which has shifted nerly four million copies in the U.S. alone, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
DISTURBED will co-headline this summer's Rockstar Energy Mayhem tour with SLIPKNOT, beginning on July 9 in Seattle.
